A Happy Little Covid Story.
Little did we know last March that our world would be turned upside down!
Both of us ( Damian & Jenny) have had long & passionate careers in hospitality
(including how we met- but that is another story altogether!)
However, when lockdown came and jobs were lost we promenaded Bray seafront twice a day, enjoying regular but chance meetings of old friends Carlos & Bernie Martin. It came about that Carlos, after years of supplying local markets & restaurants with his fine fare- really just wanted to go back to home Spain. Knowing our credentials as firm foodies, Carlos offered us to take over his business in Ireland.
Vera foods was born!
We have taken the baton and run with it. Weekly local markets, restaurant & shop wholesale and now our online store & gift shop! We both love the idea that you at home now get to cook with amazing restaurant quality produce. We hope that you enjoy our lovingly curated selection of fine foods as much as we do. We had a ball tasting our way through this lot!

Legend in his own lifetime, Damian is known and loved throughout restaurant and hotel circles in Ireland. His stint in well known establishments such as The Merrion Hotel, Killruddery House & Gardens & the Ely Group has given him a taste for fine food & wine that currently he can't afford (definitely a factor in setting up his own food import business methinks!)
Jenny Campbell - bio
Queen of south side eateries, Jen started in her early years with her own cafe in Dun Laoghaire,The Red Onion. After a stint in fine dining in San Francisco she moved onto managing the local luvvies in Dali's restaurant Blackrock for a decade, and most recently as wine bar manager in Whelehan's Wines in Loughlinstown ( where as fate has it is where one of their weekly markets takes place!)
